Manchester United are reportedly planning a massive £200million summer transfer spree.

The Red Devils spent close to £150m last year on Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba.

But after a mixed season which has seen them struggle in the Premier League, United boss Jose Mourinho is willing to spend big once again to bring major silverwares back to Old Trafford.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the targets United have identified are Monaco trio Djibril Sidibe, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko, who are valued at £22m, £15m and £35m respectively.

Antoine Griezmann, who has a £86m release clause, is still one of Mourinho’s top priorities, while Tottenham’s Eric Dier, who has been identified to strengthen the midfield, is expected to cost £40m.

Reports of Mourinho’s plans to bolster his squad surfaced after the Portuguese coach said he is “very far” from the team he wants at United.

He said: “You ask me how far away am I from having the team I want here – very far. The team we have now has been on an unbeatable run for 20 games, but just three more victories instead of draws – not four, five, six, seven or eight – would have made a big difference.”

That’s despite his contract coming to an end at Manchester United, and him being a free agent after this season, and clearly not being able to cut it at the top level in the Premier League.

He said: “I won’t play anywhere else in England. I’ve had too many good times here to do that elsewhere.”
