Saint-Etienne To Play Hardball Over Kevin Malcuit Transfer
French outfit AS Saint-Etienne are not prepared to sell one of their top assets in the form of Kevin Malcuit.
Jose Mourinho is determined to improve the overall quality of his squad, and has been linked with a number of star defenders who can make United’s backline much stronger.
One name that is recently doing the rounds is Kevin Malcuit, who is currently contracted with the Ligue 1 club till 2019.
Malcuit has been a mainstay at the French club this season, and has already made 29 appearances, for which he has been attracting interest from all over Europe.
Premier League side West Ham United have already made a failed attempt to lure him away from St-Etienne, but it is now understood that Manchester United are convinced that he is the man for them next season.

Capable of playing as a winger along with his more natural full-back position, Malcuit is a versatile player, and could solve a number of problems at Old Trafford.
However, they will not be able to get their hands on the player too easily, as the French club is ready to play hardball over his valuation in the upcoming summer transfer window.
But reports from earlier today suggest that both Manchester United and West Ham United have retained their interest in the player, and are ready to meet his high valuation. They claim that both English clubs are desperate for his signature, but that St-Etienne will not listen to offers from clubs who are not ready to pay a minimum of €15m.
