The Bundesliga leaders have announced that they will activate the clause to make Kingsley Coman’s transfer from Juventus permanent.

The 20-year-old France international, who joined Bayern on a two-year loan deal in 2015, has scored 8 goals in 58 appearances for the Bavarian giants.

He has signed a contract until June 2020.

“Kingsley Coman is an important building block for the future of our team, so we decided to take up the option,” club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told club’s official website.

“Kingsley is a player with great potential. We’re convinced that he will help us in the coming years.

Juventus confirmed that a fee of €21 million is to be paid in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 financial years.
