Neymar’s Father Wants Him To Move To The Premier League

Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr’s father has urged him to secure a move to English giants Manchester United, according to reports.

As Jose Mourinho intends to revitalize his squad by making full use of the upcoming summer transfer window, the Red Devils have been linked with some of the best footballers on the planet, including the likes of Antoine Griezmann, James Rodriguez, and Gareth Bale, to name a few.

But as per Spanish news outlet Diario Gol (via Manchester Evening News), a new global sensation is being linked with the Old Trafford outfit, and it is none other than Barcelona star Neymar.

Neymar was previously dubbed as a potential Manchester United target as well, but Mourinho dismissed all the speculation back then by telling ESPN: “It’s speculation. To ask for Neymar is absurd.

“A club like Barcelona cannot and will not lose Neymar. Although Lionel Messi is still a young player with years ahead of him, he’s almost 30, and Neymar will be the great player of Barcelona post-Messi. So much that I think it is like trying to break into a safe – impossible.”

However, if the latest news is any indication, United may actually end up signing the Brazil international come summer, thanks to the player’s father.

The report states that Neymar Sr has apparently advised his son to leave Barcelona to move out of the shadows of Lionel Messi, and secure a move to Manchester United instead.

Neymar’s father believes that the 25-year-old will shine much brighter in the Premier League, and being the talisman at the Theatre of Dreams, especially under the management of Jose Mourinho, would certainly help the forward win the Ballon D’Or in the future.

Barcelona shall certainly demand a mammoth price to part ways with the former Santos man, but given the humongous financial resources Manchester United possess, Mourinho won’t face too many issues in getting this deal done.
