Former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could be reportedly set for a Premier League return, after having emerged as a potential target for Crystal Palace.

It is believed that van Persie, who is currently playing football in the Turkish League for Fenerbahce, is also keen on making a comeback to England’s top league, after having left 2 years ago.

The 33-year-old was sold to the Turkish giants back in the summer transfer window of 2015 by former United manager Louis van Gaal, after his switch to Old Trafford from the Emirates for £24 million in 2012.

As reported by Mirror, the Dutchman could be on his way back to the Premier League, as new Palace boss, Frank de Boer, is considering making a stunning swoop for the veteran striker.

It was claimed that newly appointed head coach is looking to revamp his squad and bring in more quality, after club-record signing, Christian Benteke, was unable to maintain a consistent form last season.

The Dutch international, who scored an impressive tally of 96 goals in 194 appearances for Arsenal and 26 goals in United’s 20th Premier League title winning season, which also was his first season at the club, would bring in a plethora of experience with him if he moves to Crystal Palace this summer.

Van Persie has netted 34 goals and bagged 6 assists in the 80 appearances he has made for the Yellow Canaries in all competitions so far.
