OFFICIAL: Man United And Everton Reach Agreement Over Romelu Lukaku Transfer
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Everton over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian has been vigorously linked with a transfer to the Red Devils for the past week, and the move was finally made official by the Premier League giants via their official twitter account early on Saturday.
Reports suggested that Chelsea had matched United’s bid for the talented striker in an attempt to hijack the deal, but Jose Mourinho’s side has come out on top in this transfer saga, and the move shall be finalised once the player agrees personal terms with the Old Trafford outfit.
Manchester United released a statement on their official twitter handle, which read: “#MUFC is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms.
“A further announcement will be made in due course.”
The reported fee agreed between the two Premier League clubs in believed to be in the region of £75m with add ons.
