What’s the story?

After countless rumours linking him to other clubs like Barcelona and Tottenham, Monaco full-back Djibril Sidibe has extended his stay with the Ligue 1 club, as he signed a contract extension that will keep him in France till 2022. The defending Ligue 1 champions made the signing official, after they announced it on their club’s Twitter account.

Should the deal have taken place?

Monaco have already lost Bernardo Silva to Man City, and are on the verge of selling Lemar, Bakayoko, and Mendy too. In order to balance things out, contract extensions to Falcao, Gilik, and now Sidibe, come as signs of intent and positivity from the team. Hopefully, this might also encourage their star striker, Kylian Mbappe, to extend his stay and help the team reach greater heights.

What’s the story?

Modern football is defined by the amount of money clubs splash to buy new players, and in the time of ridiculous cash spending, Swansea City are aiming to capitalise as much as they can. As their main midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson, prepares to leave the club, the Swans have decided to put a mind blowing £50 million price tag on his services. According to reports mentioned in BBC, Everton are the team taking most interest, and have had a latest £40m bid rejected.

Should the deal take place?

The player was confirmed not to be travelling with the team for their pre-season schedule after uncertainty over his future loomed large. His club has also rejected a similar bid from Leicester City, and although Paul Clement wishes not to sell the Iceland international, he admits that the business side of football forces him to do so. With more than one club involved, a move for the player seems inevitable, and given Everton’s window so far, it will be hard to stop them from winning the battle.

Possibility of it happening

The possibility of him going to Merseyside is currently 7/10.

What’s the story?

According to Sky SportsRiyad Mahrez has emerged as a top target for A.S. Roma, as the Italian side looks to bring in the Algerian winger this summer.

Should the deal take place?

The player has been a part of Leicester City since January 2014, and it is fair to say that he has impacted them in ways unimaginable. He not only helped them gain promotion into the Premier League, but also to sensationally win the decorated title in 2015-16. However, after having the highest of highs, the winger is ready to say goodbye to the Foxes, and is eagerly awaiting offers to attract his attention. With not many coming in yet, an approaching Roma side might be the ideal destination for the player to go and start a new chapter in his career.

Possibility of it happening

As of now, no concrete deal seems to be in place, and hence, the possibility of him going to the Serie A is currently 5/10.

What’s the story?

With Mbappe, Griezmann, Diego Costa, and other strikers dominating the transfer news so far, Andrea Belotti has slowly and steadily brought himself up the ranks to become one of the most wanted players around. The Torino striker is highly valued by the club, and according to latest reports coming in from Sky Sport Italia (via TalkSport), AC Milan are the frontrunners in the race for his signature.

Should the deal take place?

The striker is priced at a whopping £88 million, and his release clause could soon be broken by the big spending Milan. Foreign clubs have an upper hand in the bidding wars for the player, but the Serie A side are adamant to stay in the battle and give clubs like Chelsea a run for their money. The forward had 26 goals to his name in Italy last season, and hence, would be a priceless addition in any side that manages to get him.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of him coming to AC Milan are currently 5/10.
