Barcelona’s Brazilian superstar Neymar is being pursued by Paris Saint-Germain, and a big money move could be on the cards. To prevent the move from happening, Blaugrana trio Messi, Suárez, and Piqué met with the 25-year-old to convince him to stay at the Camp Nou.

Following these reports, it is now being believed that the mercurial winger could be inclined towards staying with the Catalan giants. The Brazilian recently met with Barcelona’s club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and news outlet AS believes that he, along with Barca’s trio, has convinced Neymar to stay with the Blaugrana.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Gerard Pique reportedly sat down with the 25-year-old to make him understand that his career would be best served at Barcelona.

Many of Neymar’s teammates have also tried to woo him publically. Javier Mascherano called him the ‘future of Barca’, whereas midfielder Sergio Busquets dubbed him as ‘very important’ in the build up to the preseason.

New manager Ernesto Valverde is also not unaware of the serious talent that the Brazilian has. He echoed his players’ sentiments by saying: “We are counting on him, and him on us.”

In fact, everyone, from the players, to the manager, to Barcelona’s hierarchy, are trying to do their best to convince Neymar to stay.

The Catalan side’s administration is reportedly preparing a bid for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho to bring him to the Camp Nou. Neymar wanted his fellow compatriot to be his club teammate, and if Barcelona sign him, it would represent the club’s statement of intent to keep their prodigy happy.

Here’s the thing: Barcelona don’t wish to let go of Neymar because he is ultimately going to be the team’s flag bearer once Messi calls it a day. The Brazilian is a genuine talent and his ability on the ball makes him the heir apparent to Leo Messi. It would be one of the biggest blunders if Barcelona let Neymar leave.
