Manchester City have confirmed the departure of defender Aleksandar Kolarov.
The 31-year-old has signed for Serie A side Roma on a three-year deal. The full-back, who won the Premier League twice, arrived at the Etihad outfit from Lazio in 2010, and he now returns to Italy by joining Lazio’s rivals in a £4.5m move.
Upon the completion of the transfer, the Serbian said: “When I came in 2010, honestly, I didn’t expect to play so long. Today is the day I have to say goodbye. Everything was quick the last couple of days. For me, it’s a very sad day.”
