Everton Striker Wayne Rooney Arrested
Former Red Devil and current Toffees striker Wayne Rooney was pulled over by the police in Cheshire on suspicion of drink driving on Thursday evening.
Wayne Rooney has had a good start to his Everton career after leaving Manchester United as a club legend. However, the England’s all time record goalscorer had to undergo an unpleasant experience of getting arrested by the police last evening.
Having already announced his retirement from International football, the player was seen leaving Everton training ground, Finch Farm, on Thursday, only to be pulled over by the police a few hours later. The player was returning from a late evening out when he was arrested for drink-driving.
Rooney has been living in Cheshire for the last 12 months with his family in a £6million home in Prestbury. The striker was returning to his home on the particular late evening.
Meanwhile, the Englishman continues to impress on his Everton return. The 31-year-old has proved his doubters wrong by scoring 2 goals for the Liverpool-based club since joining them last month.
