Watch: Best Moments Of ‘Goalkeeper’ Jose Mourinho In A Charity Match
Manchester United might have David De Gea as their number one man between the sticks and Sergio Romero as an equally able back up, but it might be time for both to fear for roles in the immediate future.
The ‘Game4Grenfell’ charity match was held at Loftus Road earlier yesterday, and it was a fine occasion, as some of the biggest names in the sport got together on one pitch and did so for a noble cause.
However, the spectacle of the day and the highlight of the event was Jose Mourinho’s performance as a goalkeeper in the second half of the game.
The United boss came on as a substitute for David James in the 63rd minute, and looked in fine shape while donning the goalie’s gloves in hands. Not only did he manage to clear the ball away with a fierce punch, but he also typically received a card for his time wasting antics.
The boss was between the sticks during the penalty shoot-out too, but was unable to stop any of the five attempts he faced. With this rare sight on offer today, Twitter was a host to some of the finest reactions. Here are some of them:

Team Ferdinand were the ones that emerged as 5-3 winners in the shoot-out, beating Team Shearer while doing so. Jose Mourinho surely stole the show, and will be hoping his Manchester United side do the same in a serious manner for the season to follow.
