Kylian Mbappe turned down a Real Madrid move after getting to know that his idol Cristiano Ronaldo would move to Old Trafford this summer.

Following his incredible exploits for Monaco in the 2016-17 season, there is no denying that Mbappe has been linked with a lot of Europe’s elite clubs before ending up at PSG.

However, in the initial proceedings of the summer transfer window, it was expected that Real Madrid would seal a deal for the young sensation, as Zinedine Zidane has been trying to sign the Frenchman since he was 14. There was intense speculation that Real Madrid could sign Mbappe by letting Gareth Bale leave Santiago Bernabeu.

But the talented Frenchman decided not to join Real, after knowing that his idol Cristiano Ronaldo was leaving Bernabeu. The main reason why be backed out of the Real Madrid deal is because his father believed that the 18-year-old would be unable to handle the pressure of trying to replace the legendary goal-scorer at Madrid.

The report further goes on to say that Mbappe expressed his Ronaldo concerns to Real Madrid, and they came up with another plan of selling Gareth Bale to Manchester United, but the Welshman refused to move to England this summer.
