Man City Fans Criticise Pep After Key Player Picks Up Another Injury
Man City boss Pep Guardiola has ruled Vincent Kompany out from their upcoming blockbuster clash against Liverpool.
The Citizens’ captain had his calf strained during Belgium’s international fixture against Greece on Sunday. As a result, Kompany failed to feature in any of the training sessions for Man City this week. Guardiola was hopeful for his captain to get fit in time before such a crucial fixture, however, it appears to be impossible now.
This news happens to be a huge blow for the blue side of Manchester, as Kompany provided City’s porous defence a lot of stability since making a comeback from his long-term injury last season. And now that the centre-back is unfit, Guardiola will have to take some tough decisions before the Liverpool game.

The Spaniard might even need to change his formation from having 3 defenders at the back to 4. With a changed line-up and formation, the Citizens could be facing big problems against the super direct attack of Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have received the good news of having their star playmaker Philippe Coutinho back in training. The Brazilian attacking midfielder, who saw his dream move to Barcelona collapse, was all smiles again in training for the Reds.
