Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler is reportedly unhappy at the club, and is eyeing a move away from the French capital.

The German international arrived in Paris in January for a reported fee of £35.5 million from Bundesliga side Wolfsberg. Draxler immediately impressed the Ligue 1 fans with a stunning debut goal and the consistent form he has shown since then.

Since arriving at the Parc des Princes, the talented midfielder managed to score 5 goals and lay down an assist. Though not an out-and-out goalscorer, Draxler is widely known for his vital involvement in matches and his consistency.

However, since the arrival of Neymar Jr. from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco, the winger reportedly senses a loss of importance and significance in the PSG squad. Consequently, Draxler wishes to move away from Paris, in order to avoid warming the bench whilst the new arrivals shower in the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, who have been long-term admirers of the 23-year-old, have yet to give up on their pursuit to secure his services. Though the Gunners failed to seal a move for the former Schalke man twice on previous occasions, boss Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing him in during the winter transfer season as a backup for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

Furthermore, the French giants have reportedly named a list of five players to be sold in January, which surprisingly, has the name of the former Wolfsburg star.

Along with the tough competition Neymar and Mbappe offer on the first-team team sheet, and the club itself looking to offload the midfielder, a move to North London would certainly make sense for the German, as he is searching for more first-team action.

The French giants have reportedly set a price tag of £35 million on Draxler, and it would be a steal if Wenger’s side manage to snatch him in January.
