David De Gea is undoubtedly amongst United’s most prized players, and apart from being an integral part of their success in the Premier League this season, the shot-stopper singlehandedly held the club aloft during many potentially embarrassing encounters over the past years.

This had made him the subject of much speculation over a move to Real Madrid, which despite his new signed contract last season, held stubbornly on even in this window.

Now, reports have emerged that another top European giants are looking at De Gea to bolster their defense.

As per French publication Le10 Sport, PSG are preparing to line up a massive bid for the 26-year-old.

The source claimed (via Sport Witness): “Antero Henrique, the Ligue 1 runners up’s director of football, has already asked Jorge Mendes about the Spain international’s availability, who has apparently said there could be room for a deal at the end of the season.”

Further, the need for goalkeepers for the big money French club arises as a major concern, since neither Kevin Trapp nor Alphonse Areola seem upto the challenge of Champions League football. The Spaniard, on the other hand, is perfect for a treble attempt.

However, it will be highly unlikely that the Premier League giants would wish to part ways with their illustrious keeper, as reports suggest that Jose Mourinho and company are eagerly lining up a new deal for their no.1.

Apart from De Gea, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is also being considered by PSG. The latter has been a target for the Paris-based club for quite a while, and has a reported release clause of €100m. It is evident from PSG’s spending spree over Neymar and Mbappe this season that financial backing won’t be an issue should they seek either man for the spot in front of their goal.
