Cristiano Ronaldo keeps ruling the news in the world of football both on and off the field, with the latest speculation suggesting that he is currently jealous of Neymar.

The Brazilian earned recognition and fame during his time at Barcelona, where he played for four years before moving for a world record fee to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The forward has been linked with a shock move to Real Madrid several times during his career, and it is still being perceived that the star player could move to the Bernabeu in the coming years.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Neymar’s speculated move to the reigning Champions League winners is hampering Ronaldo, who has grown extremely jealous of the Brazilian, as he feels the 25-year-old could replace him at the club.

Neymar is happy at PSG, and is touted to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or during his time in the French capital. His solid form this season shows that he could pave a way for himself in being voted as the world’s best.

Ronaldo isn’t keen to fade away, however, as he looks to be on the verge of winning a 5th Ballon d’Or. He will have no intention to stop there, though, as he recently stated that he is looking to win at least 7 Ballon d’Or titles and create history.

But the jealousy, as reported, isn’t going down well with him. Moreover, the Euro 2016 winner with Portugal is also said to be angry with teammate Casemiro for praising Neymar and wanting him to come to the Bernabeu.

Casemiro recently told COPE: “He’s a star. He knows what he’s doing. He’s a great player and he’ll always be welcome at Real Madrid. I hope he comes, but he’s happy at his club.”
