It’s no secret that Man Utd have been long-term admirers of Atletico Madrid talisman Antoine Griezmann, and have tried to lure him over to Old Trafford in the past.
But unfortunately, the Frenchman may never sign for the English giants due to a bizarre reason he recently revealed.
Griezmann was heavily linked with the Red Devils during the summer, but a move was ultimately ruled out due to Atletico’s transfer ban. Jose Mourinho then ended up signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton instead.
However, it was recently reported that the Portuguese boss is still keen on importing the French international to Manchester.
But Mourinho’s chances may have dropped yet again, as the star striker has revealed that the conditions in England do not appeal to him, despite admitting that a move to the red side of Manchester is a real possibility.
“Manchester United is a possibility,” the former Real Sociedad man revealed in his autobiography, Behind the Smile: Life of the Little Prince. “I have nothing against England – except for the weather,” he added.
Most United faithful rejoiced for a moment, before reading the rest of what the script said, though that could hardly prove to be a reason to reject a possibly record breaking switch.
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old is bound to the Wanda Metropolitano till the year of 2022, and is also being strongly linked with La Liga giants Barcelona, apart from the Mancunian outfit.
