Manchester United fans may have to stick to Romelu Lukaku being their side’s main striker, as long-term target Antoine Griezmann has told the Premier League giants that he has agreed terms with Barcelona.
Reports of the Frenchman’s switch to Catalonia surfaced not long ago. Stories of Barca agreeing a deal in principle with Griezmann made a shock rise among news outlets and the digital press.
On the other hand, despite such claims sprouting from very reliable sources, the Red Devils are still keen on importing the Atletico Madrid talisman.

However, Jose Mourinho’s side has hit a brand new dead-end, after the French international told the club that he had already agreed a deal with the Camp Nou outfit during an approach.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have reported that the former Real Sociedad man made it clear to the Premier League giants that he would like to go ahead with the offer from the Spanish club.
The Catalans had reportedly considered signing the talented striker during the summer, but withdrew due to the same reason the Mancunians failed to materialise a deal themselves – Atletico’s transfer ban.
Nevertheless, the Blaugrana have managed to seize the opportunity this time around, and may have upset the English side in the process.
The 26-year-old has a reported release clause of €100 million, and it would be very interesting to see how Ernesto Valverde’s side manages to pull this deal off.
