David De Gea to Real Madrid is a move that Manchester United have been trying to snub off for good for the past few years.

According to latest reports, though, the Mancunian fans could now breathe a sigh of relief, as the talented shot-stopper is being offered a new and updated deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

Signing the fresh contract would get him entitled as the ‘second highest earner at the Theatre of Dreams’, with the deal being worth around £350,000-a-week in terms of salary.

The contract extension talks are purportedly set to begin this month, after initial discussion in the early stages of this year’s campaign. Accordingly, the Spaniard is expected to pen down the contract offer before the commencement of the World Cup.

“Zlatan leaving has freed up more wiggle room on wages and United don’t want to drag it out. They want to show the world that David won’t be leaving for anywhere. It’s a real statement.”

Accordingly, Manchester United fans feel convinced that the 27-year-old would stay in Manchester, and keep contributing to the club with the utmost commitment for the years to come.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid could suffer a lethal blow if the superstar were to pen the new contract, as they’d be forced to look for other replacements for Keylor Navas.
