Paul Pogba’s situation at United is being closely monitored by reigning Champions League holders Real Madrid, after reports surfaced that the Frenchman’s relation with manager Jose Mourinho is on the low.
The Red Devils’ record signing hasn’t quite fulfilled the expectations he was supposed to bring at Old Trafford since his move from Juventus in the summer of 2016. Performances have been wayward in an up and down situation for the talented midfielder.
Recent performances against West Bromwich Albion over the weekend and the first half against City last week summed up Pogba’s recent form quite well.
According to reports in The Sun, the player was involved in a bust-up with Jose during the half-time against rivals City. Tempers were said to be flaring between the two individuals.

Jose criticised Pogba in front of the whole team, and the player’s not-so-clear reply angered the manager. Although the Frenchman did change his level in the second half, when his brace helped United stage a comeback and win the derby 3-2.
But Pogba’s performance was once again poor against the Baggies, who inflicted a 1-0 loss on United at Old Trafford. Pogba lasted 58 minutes in that match.
Reports now state that he could be benched for United’s upcoming games this week, which include the FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
With all that is happening, Real on the other hand, are keeping a watch over Pogba’s situation in Manchester. The Spanish giants admire the Frenchman, and want him to be part of their side in the near future.
Further breakdown in relations with Jose could signal an end to Pogba’s time in England, and Real could finally land the former Juventus midfielder.
