Following the boring goalless draw against West Ham on Thursday, Manchester United fans were given a reason to get excited early on Friday, as the Red Devils unveiled their brand new third kit for the upcoming campaign.

Adidas, partnering with Parley for the Oceans, revealed the new kit created from Parley Ocean Plastic, which is inspired by the royal blue kit worn by Sir Matt Busby’s Manchester United team that triumphed over Benfica at Wembley in May 1968.

This impressive kit was unveiled by the club on all its social media handles, with the likes of Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata, Scott McTominay, Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba, and Anthony Martial posing for pictures wearing their brand new shirts.

However, as exciting as the unveiling of the kit was, a host of United supporters couldn’t help but notice and comment about the involvement of the two Frenchmen in the promotion.

Both Martial and Pogba are believed to have uncertain futures at the Old Trafford outfit, with several sources linking both the superstars with summer departures.

While reports of a supposed bust-up between Pogba and Jose Mourinho seem to have dwindled down in recent weeks, Martial continues to be linked with several European powerhouses.

Manchester United Made A Mistake By Selling 24-Year-Old Forward

In fact, the Portuguese tactician’s indirect digs at the former Monaco starlet, wherein Jose claimed that the wide-man’s performances on the pitch clearly explain his exclusion from starting lineups, the 22-year-old’s future at the club seems far from secure.

Naturally, following such speculation, the Reds’ faithful were surprised to see both the players present at the photoshoot, wearing shirts that are meant to be used for the 2018-19 season.

Here’s how the club’s global fanbase reacted on social media:
