Manchester United will officially confirm the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka on Friday.
After several weeks of negotiations between all parties involved, reports that emerged on Wednesday finally confirmed that the Red Devils had reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for the talented right-back.
Multiple sources then posted pictures that showed the 21-year-old arriving at the Lowry Hotel with his family ahead of the move.
An official announcement only looked hours away, but it now turns out that the fans will have to wait for another day to see their brand new player wearing the famous red shirt.
According to Simon Peach of the press association, Wan-Bissaka’s switch to the Old Trafford club will be announced on Friday.
The journalist tweeted: “Hearing official confirmation of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to
#MUFC will now come on Friday. Everything fine. Just takes time to get everything sorted”.
However, the fact remains that this deal is already done and dusted, and club chief Ed Woodward can now turn his attention towards recruiting other transfer targets.
Negotiations so far have undoubtedly been lengthy and time-consuming, and it will be interesting to see how many more players he manages to bring in before the Mancunian giants depart for their pre-season tour.
