Inter have reached an agreement with Manchester United over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.

After several weeks of tireless pursuit, failed bids, and interest from arch-rivals, Antonio Conte is finally set to sign his first-choice attacking target.

According to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via Fabrizio Romano), all parties have come to an agreement regarding this mega transfer.

Now, the sorting of the final details and the submission of the official paperwork is all that remains.

Emerging reports have revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had asked the striker to train with Manchester United’s U23 squad of late. But considering his stature, Lukaku was left feeling “hurt and isolated” due to these orders.

Subsequently, the Belgian international decided to return to his homeland, and has been training with his boyhood club Anderlecht for the past two days.

But now that his switch to Inter is on the verge of completion, Lukaku is expected to travel straight to Italy instead of returning to Manchester.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils bring in a late replacement for the 26-year-old, with less than 24 hours left for the Premier League transfer window to close shut.
