Man Utd have benefitted immensely from the addition of Bruno Fernandes to their roster. Tactically, the Portuguese midfielder has already been notching incredible figures and has added a near unprecedented level of attacking ethos to the outfit.

However, Fernandes’ impact also transcends the pitch as his mentality is a winning one and is certainly infectious.

Further, the former Sporting star clearly has a knack for building good relationships.

Speaking to MUTV, Fernandes replied to a query about the people who were helpful to him upon joining Old Trafford, stating: “When you are training and when you are on the pitch, there you need to show how important your team-mate is for you. Out of the pitch, you can help also and it was really important for me, because everyone wants to help me.”

He then went on to narrate what he did to give back to his teammates and the gifts he gave them: “I arrived and I talked with a guy I know from PlayStation and I gave joysticks to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, I gave one to Diogo, also David, Fred and I talk with the other players.”

“If someone wants one, just tell me and I can give you one, so from Manchester United, for example, David he took one for Dragon Ball Z, because he’s a fan and these are the kind of things, when you arrive, you want to have this feeling that you can trust, if you need something I will help you, if I need something I know you will help me.”

Such acts speaks volumes about how well he has adjusted to life in England. The social media antics and the proximity to some of his teammates is certainly crucial to building the perfect team that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager for.

Needless to say, whenever football resumes once the ongoing COVID-19 crisis has abated, Fernandes and company will be eager to perform as usual.
