Mason Greenwood’s ascent at Manchester United has been one of the most delightful sights that the campaign provided.
Right from the time that the youngster was turning heads at the academy with his enormous goal tallies and impressive antics, fans were hooked.
When the senior squad strikers were not proving up to the mark and scoring the requisite goals, there were repeated demands to launch Greenwood into the senior team.
Sure enough, this season has been an excellent one from the 18-year-old, who has now netted 13 goals in all competitions. In fact, prior to the lockdown going into place, it was very realistically expected that the teenager could target the staunch 20-goal tally before the season ended.
However, what is arguably more impressive is how well some of those goals ended up being, and this stat perhaps outlines it best.
Mason Greenwood has scored 3 goals from outside the box in the Premier League this season, only Riyad Mahrez and James Maddison (4) have scored more.

With Marcus Rashford, supporters of the Red Devils got a marvelous taste of an academy graduate who has gone on to become a proper United forward and of whom great things are expected going ahead.
Now, Greenwood seems destined for something similar provided he puts up the adequate consistency.
The Robin van Persie comparisons are certainly tempting and such a degree of goals from outside the box speak volumes about his level of confidence.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was adamant that selling Romelu Lukaku while also loaning out Alexis Sanchez without purchasing a replacement would be a decision that would pay dividend when Greenwood got his chance to flourish.
The chances have been furnished, what next for the starlet?
