Man Utd’s potential summer transfer business appears to have taken over the news in lieu of actual football being played due to the lockdown.

Despite Ed Woodward cautioning that the next transfer window won’t be business as usual for the Red Devils, in view of the larger financial backlash that the lockdown and lack of football is expected to usher in, the links have been strong.

Largely, it appears that Man Utd will certainly make an investment in their midfield, either in anticipation of Paul Pogba departing the club or else to replace aging legs, such as those of Nemanja Matic.

At least in the case of the latter, some vital news may exist.

According to journalist Saddick Adams, Thomas Partey to Man Utd could be a reality.

After lots of speculations and links to the likes of Arsenal, this is one of first claims strongly pegging an interest from the Ghanaian midfielder himself to depart.

It is understood that Atletico Madrid have a flat €50 million release clause embedded into his contract. As such, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company shouldn’t have to waste time and resources in hammering out a suitable deal as was the case in the Bruno Fernandes saga.

Of course, for that to occur, Man Utd must first consider the 26-year-old Partey to be worth the sum even as countless other European giants seek his signature.

If true, this alleged desire to move to the Premier League can make all the difference in the long run.
