Manchester United’s transfer rumors have begun zeroing in on newer names. The recent weeks have linked the club with a host of younger names as well as reignited sagas that were long thought to be things of the past.

However, amidst this flurry, the potential deals that were doing the rounds quite strongly even prior to the lockdown and waves of fresh speculation seem to be absent.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Red Devils have given up on those and some links could still remain strong.

Now, a former United player has reaffirmed why one of them remains a brilliant option for the club.

Speaking on Superstar Speakers about Jack Grealish’s ability to be of United’s makeup, Lee Sharpe opines: “Totally. I think he’s got Man United written all over him.”

The former winger goes on to narrate how the Aston Villa stint has honed the 24-year-old: “I think [Villa assistant] John Terry being at the club has changed his attitude a little bit towards how important he is in games, how valuable he is, how much he needs to not give the ball away cheaply and see himself as a top-six player, a top European player.

Transfer Fee Agreed: Manchester United Close To Signing Saul Niguez

“He has the ability, he goes past people with ease. He transitions defence to attack quite easily, creates and scores goals and I think he’s got everything.”

As to how an Old Trafford move can make the most out of him, Sharpe states: “Think in a good team, where someone can’t single him out and there’s other players there to mark and he ends up getting more room – I think he’ll be sensational.”

United continue to be linked with midfielders, with Saul Niguez the latest name to appear strong on their radar. In this regard, it will be intriguing to see if and where Grealish will feature in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s summer plans.
