With Premier League football resumed, Manchester United will now travel to Tottenham Hotspur and see out the first game in what will be a heated race to slot in a Champions League spot.

The months of lockdown has eased injury woes and built up quite a bit of anticipation and it will be a brilliant way for Jose Mourinho to return to the fray against his former employers.

Here’s how the two teams are likely to lineup for the game:

Tottenham Hotspur

Jose Mourinho has the blessing of several big returns from injury with the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son the biggest names. They will be joined by Steven Bergwijn in a conformed attacking trident, barring late injuries.

As for fitness concerns, Japhet Tanganga and Giovanni Lo Celso most likely won’t be playing a role in the fixture. Incidentally, Delle Alli, who was exceptional in form prior to the lockdown, will not feature in the game due to a one-match FA ban as penalty for a prior social media post of his.

Goalkeeper: Lloris
Defenders: Aurier, Sánchez, Alderweireld, Davies
Midfielders: Sissoko, Winks, Ndombélé
Forwards: Son, Kane, Bergwijn
Formation: 4-3-3

Manchester United

The months of lockdown had the sold ray of hope for Ole Gunnar Solskjær in the sense that his sizable injury list has been reduced considerably. Only Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones remain injured for the fixture. Marcus Rashford’s return will be the biggest positive for the Red Devils whereas Paul Pogba’s fitness will likely be taken with a pinch of salt as the Frenchman will reportedly start the game on the bench.

A back-three was used effectively in the formidable run of games prior and it is likely that the Norwegian will continue to deploy the same on Friday.

Goalkeeper: De Gea
Defenders: Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw
Midfielders: McTominay, Fred, Fernandes
Forwards: Rashford, Martial
Formation: 3-5-2
