Bayer Leverkusen are leading the Bundesliga table, and are looking to strengthen further, as they aim to win their first ever top-flight title.

The five-time Bundesliga runners-up, who go into the weekend with a one-point lead ahead of defending champions Bayern Munich at the top of the league, are interested in signing Man Utd youngster Brandon Williams, reports the Telegraph.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently hinted that the Premier League giants could be open to allowing the 20-year-old to leave on loan next month.

Long-time admirers Southampton are already in the queue for the Englishman’s signature, but will now have to compete with the Bundesliga outfit.

Williams ability to comfortably operate both at left-back and right-back is one of the key reasons why he’s attracting attracting interest from multiple clubs.

While Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl reportedly wants him to compete with Kyle Walker-Peters and Ryan Bertrand, Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz’s concern is to find a new right-back to fill in for the injured Santiago Arias.

The Colombia international was signed on loan from Atletico Madrid ahead of the new season, but is now out for a lengthy period.

Both Southampton and Bayer Leverkusen are doing very well in their respective leagues, and with Williams in a vital need of game-time, it’ll be crucial to pick his next destination accordingly.
