Sergio Ramos’ Reacts To Raphael Varane’s Man United Transfer

Sergio Ramos posted an emotional message for Raphael Varane following the confirmation of Real Madrid’s agreement with Manchester United for his transfer.

The pair spent a decade as teammates and partnered each other during one of the club’s most successful periods – winning 3 La Liga titles and an incredible 4 Champions League titles. Ramos took a teenage Varane under his wing back in 2011 and neither they nor the club looked back ever since.

However, every fairytale comes to an end and it is no different for the duo. The Spaniard signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer earlier this summer and the ex-Lens man is set to make a switch to Old Trafford.

Having spent a decade playing next to each other, there is no doubt that they were close. The former Galacticos’ bond is apparent in Ramos’ message to his ex-teammate.

The veteran centre-back made his gratitude quite apparent and addressed the Frenchman as his companion as he wished him the best for the future.

The Spanish international’s message is sure to be a tear-jerker for Los Blancos supporters. It must be frustrating to see two of the best players at the club depart together.

Moreover, one of the best defenders of this generation referring to him as a companion through his success is a testament to Varane’s quality.

On the other hand, United fans must be absolutely over the moon as they look forward to the prospect of watching the France international play in their colours.

The 28-year-old is still very much in his prime and will bolster Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defensive prowess significantly.
