Midfielder Set To Return To United – Ten Hag Believes He Fits His Style
Andreas Pereira is set to return to Manchester United after spending a year on loan at Flamengo.
Pereira moved to his native Brazil last summer in search for regular minutes following an underwhelming loan stint at Lazio.
His decision to leave European football appeared to pay off, as he impressed at Flamengo in his initial days at the club. His performance even convinced the Brazilian outfit to turn his loan deal into a permanent one.
But Flamengo have now pulled out of the deal. His time at the club will end this month, with his agent confirming the player is going to return to Europe.

Fortunately for Pereira, Erik ten Hag is willing to give him another chance to cement his place at Old Trafford.
According to Yahoo Brasil (via The Mirror), John Murtough, United’s football director, has contacted the midfielder to discuss his future. The Dutchman wants the 26-year-old to return, as he believes he ‘fits the desired squad profile’ for the upcoming season. Ten Hag is expected to get in touch with Pereira personally soon.
United are light in midfield following the departures of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and Juan Mata. The Brazil international, who has one year left on his contract, could prove to be a good squad option.
