Manchester United find themselves busy in the final days of the transfer window as they work on completing Antony’s transfer as well as bringing in more players.

The Premier League outfit found an agreement over Antony’s fee with Ajax on Sunday, and are expecting the 22-year-old winger in Manchester in the coming hours. The Brazilian still needs to undergo his medical before officially becoming the club’s fifth signing of the summer.

While formalities to complete Antony’s move are ongoing, the Red Devils have also reached an agreement in principle to sign Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle are ready to accept United’s proposal of a loan move for their goalkeeper. The Magpies star’s switch to Carrington will include a buy option worth £5m. Personal terms with the 33-year-old have already been agreed.

United’s search for a proper backup for David de Gea intensified after the Spaniard’s worrying performances against Brighton and Brentford. Dubravka isn’t an upgrade on De Gea, especially with the ball at his feet, but was a reliable shot-stopper for Newcastle last season.

His loan move to Old Trafford includes an option to buy that turns into an obligation depending on appearances, as per Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth.
