Manchester United could find themselves busy in the last days of the January transfer window.

The Red Devils, who travel to Nottingham Forest for the first leg of the League Cup tonight, are not only aiming to bounce back from their setbacks at Crystal Palace and Arsenal on the pitch but also working on rejuvenating their squad in the transfer market.

United have already signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley. But according to the Daily Mail, they are still looking to sign another forward. It is added that despite the Old Trafford outfit maintaining their stance of ‘no more business’, they are open to a loan deal with a small fee.

The club is also focused on ensuring their young talents continue to develop, if not under Erik ten Hag then elsewhere.

Shola Shoretire has already joined Bolton Wanderers on a temporary basis, and now another academy prospect is set to depart United for the remainder of the season.

According to BBC Sport, Charlie Savage has agreed to a loan deal with Forest Green Rovers. The Welsh midfielder made his senior United debut in the Champions League last season.

He was also part of Ten Hag’s pre-season squad and impressed during the tour of Thailand and Australia. However, English midfield prodigy Kobbie Mainoo has overtaken him in the pecking order.

It’s understood that if he does well with the League One outfit he will ‘come to the attention’ of Wales manager Rob Page.
