Juventus are interested in giving Mason Greenwood a ‘fresh start’, with the player’s future still uncertain at Manchester United.

The hierarchy at Old Trafford are yet to make their decision on whether the Englishman can return to the first-team fold. He’s currently training alone.

Several European clubs are keeping an eye on the situation and are open to handing the 21-year-old an opportunity to return to top-level football. He last featured for United in January 2022 and still has two years left to run on his existing contract at the club.

Europa League side wants to sign Greenwood from Manchester United

According to The Sun, Juventus are very interested in signing Greenwood and hope a long-term deal can be reached this summer. The Serie A side already have sounded out the player’s camp.

Greenwood is also on the radar of AC Milan as well as clubs from Turkey. But the Old Lady hope Paul Pogba’s presence in Turin will make their proposal more attractive. The Frenchman shared the dressing room with the forward for over four years at United. He departed Manchester last year following the expiration of his contract.

Currently in Europa League and scheduled to face Sevilla in the semi-finals of the competition, Juve have struggled to find goals regularly under Massimiliano Allegri. Dusan Vlahovic has endured an underwhelming season, leaving the side to depend heavily on Angel Di María, 35, for crucial goals.

United are doing no better going forward, and desperately need a new clinical finisher.

It is expected the Red Devils will try to sign a number nine. However, Erik ten Hag has to address multiple areas on the pitch on a limited budget due to financial fair play terms. As such, Greenwood’s return to Carrington can’t be ruled out entirely.
