Borussia Dortmund are on the lookout for a new midfielder, having sold Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid in a deal north of €100m.

The Bundesliga outfit are interested in Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri. As per the Manchester Evening News, they would be prepared to pay a fee in the region of €15m for the 20-year-old, who was one of Birmingham City’s stand-out players in the Championship last term.

Following the productive loan spell, Hannibal is on the radar of a number of clubs. He’s also part of United’s pre-season plans, with Ten Hag ready to hand him an opportunity to showcase his talents on the tour before making any decision on his future.

Manchester United planning midfield overhaul

The Red Devils are also busy making changes in the middle of the park. A fee for Zidane Iqbal’s transfer to FC Utrecht has already been agreed upon, and United are also open to selling Scott McTominay and Fred. The former is on the list of players West Ham are monitoring to replace exit bound Declan Rice. The latter is appreciated by Fulham manager Marco Silva.

Ten Hag wants to ideally add at least two new signings to his midfield, with United understood to be in active negotiations with Chelsea for the transfer of Mason Mount. The London outfit have rejected their two bids, but there’s hope an agreement can be reached before the end of this month.

There’s interest in Rice as well. However, United are regarded as outsiders in the race for the England international’s signature due to their limited budget. Arsenal and Manchester City are battling to sign him at the moment.

Brighton star Moises Caicedo is also among the names linked with a move to Old Trafford.
