Man United Fans React To Donny van de Beek’s Goal vs Spain
Donny van de Beek’s goal against Spain has got fans talking.
The Man United midfielder was pivotal in the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw against Spain on Wednesday with the Dutchman cancelling out Canales’ first-half opener.
The goal itself was a great one and exhibited great vision from the 23-year-old. De Beek made it a point to slowly drift into the box once the ball was played wide, ensuring fluidity.
As such, despite two of his teammates botching the chance to take a shot, the former Ajax man was ready to thump it into the back of the net in thoroughly convincing fashion.
As such, fans lost no time in taking to Twitter to praise the youngster and laud his attempt.

Van De Beek would be starting for most top clubs, ridiculous that he’s a backup player at Manchester United.

Incidentally, de Beek has been in the news quite a lot as of recent, primarily due to Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s apparent hesitancy to give him the start more often. The Norwegian manager himself had to clarify the club’s stance on their new signing, promising that with time he would get his due.
Of course, one does not need to see such a goal to know of the player’s potential. When United purchased the midfielder, his creative and attacking intent was apparent with the numbers out there to prove the point quite well.
While it has been argued that he could be a long-term replacement to Paul Pogba, keeping him unhappy on the bench while Pogba disappoints when given the chance doesn’t exactly bode well either.
Simply put, whatever pressure Solskjær may have been under to start de Beek prior to this outing will now be furthered given the seeming excellence of this goal.
