Manchester United recently managed to land the signing of Amad Diallo and looks like he’s already impressing.

The Ivorian took part in training last weekend and fans hope to see him get some minutes for the first team soon. Despite taking part in training with the U23 squad, Diallo did not make the Premier League 2 squad against Leicester City. And fans were quick to theorize a Premier League debut against Fulham this week.

If this is true, the teenager must have impressed really well in training; which as per Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is true.

“Very good. He can handle the ball, he’s enjoyed training, makes a difference in training, which is quite remarkable at his age,” Solskjaer revealed [via Man Utd].

United are lacking a consistent presence on the right flank and the former Atalanta man could contest for that spot. The versatile forward is viewed as a very promising prospect by the Red Devils so allowing him first-team action at the right time is a sensitive process.

Although youngsters can impress on their day, they also suffer burnouts quicker and more often than senior players — Mason Greenwood being a prime example of such a case.

On the other hand, the winger’s potential seems to be high; the £18.5m add-ons speaks for itself. But with just 5 appearances for the Atalanta first team, there is not a lot of information available about the youngster.

Nevertheless, the numbers experts have compiled seems to indicate a player who is an excellent dribbler and intelligent off the ball. Often times, the 18-year-old is compared to the playing style of Lionel Messi, which is somewhat of an ultimate praise for a forward. Although the young prospect is not exactly a creative passer like the Argentine superstar, the rest of his playing style is somewhat similar.

If nurtured well, Solskjaer will have a very exciting player in his hands. Now the only question is if he will be nurtured the way he needs to be at Old Trafford.
