Amad Diallo is yet to start a game for Manchester United, but has already raised hopes of many supporters with exciting cameo appearances.

Despite Diallo’s stunning back-wards header against AC Milan, Solskjaer has resisted the temptation to throw the inexperienced youngster in, and so far has done well to carefully manage his game-time.

The winger is currently away on international duty for Ivory Coast, and will certainly expect more minutes following the international break. Considering his potential, it won’t be too long before Diallo becomes a regular feature under the Norwegian gaffer.

Regardless of accumulated first-team minutes, the Ivorian is rated very highly. Despite no Serie A start under his belt, United committed to a deal that could rise up to £37m to sign the former Atalanta wonderkid.

Further, former AC Milan goalkeeper Giovanni Galli believes the 18-year-old could win the Ballon d’Or in five years time.

“Amad is unique,” Galli told Goal. “But he must make himself stronger. At the same time, he must make sure he does not lose his speed, which is a quality that distinguishes him from others.

“In short, I think he has all the qualities to be a candidate for the Ballon d’Or in the next five years.”

Galli’s opinion of the starlet is worth noting since he was the man to see his potential very early on. He organised Diallo’s trial with Atalanta after spotting him with amateur club Boca Barco.
