Jadon Sancho’s long-awaited transfer to Manchester United will have a domino effect on Mason Greenwood’s rise at Old Trafford.

The Man City academy graduate is getting closer to finally join a club, which have been chasing him since he left Manchester in 2017. It is understood United and Borussia Dortmund are now in the process of finalising the payment structure and potential add-ons, with the overall deal reaching a fee in the region of £77m.

As such, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, believed to be a huge fan of the Englishman, can now start envisaging his team with Sancho.

The 21-year-old is capable of playing on both flanks, but due to United’s pressing need for a natural right-winger, it’s not tough to guess Sancho’s position under the Norwegian tactician.

However, Greenwood, who’s often played on the right-wing, will be left with only a make-shift role if he competes with the Dortmund star for that position next season.

Regardless, the good thing for United is that the versatile talent can also play in the middle of the attack, and considering Edinson Cavani’s age, he’d get ample opportunity to feature for the Red Devils there.

Further, as per the Evening Standard, there’s hope at Carrington that the academy graduate can establish himself as a ’20-30-goal-a-season striker’.

Given all this, Sancho’s potential arrival could end up being a great thing for the starlet.
