Arsenal are ready to launch a £60 million bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette with Arsene Wenger almost certain to lose Alexis Sanchez in the summer, according to reports.

Sanchez hasn’t yet agreed to terms on a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and with less than 18 months left on his current deal, the Gunners boss is believed to have privately conceded defeat.

The Chile star has long been at the center of a contract wrangle that is showing no sign of being resolved anytime soon. Sanchez currently pockets £130,000 per week and was offered a new deal worth an extra £50,000 a week. But as per the reports, he will not agree to an offer below £250,000.

And now the Daily Mirror claim the potential loss of the Chilean attacker has forced Arsenal to consider a list of suitors with Lacazette at the top of their wishlist.

The report further states that Lyon are set to demand in excess of £50 million for Lacazette while the actual figure being closer to his £60 million buyout clause.

Arsenal, who had a £35 million bid for the French striker rocked back last summer, will have to speed up their initiative if they are looking to land Lacazette as Liverpool are also reportedly interested in snapping him up.

Despite scoring 27 goals in 31 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, Lyon are now believed to be most likely to cash in on their prized asset.

Apart from Alexandre Lacazette, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and Porto’s Andre Silva are also admired at the London club.
