Mesut Ozil Set To Miss Arsenal’s Crucial Clash Against Liverpool
Arsenal will be without Mesut Ozil in Saturday’s trip to Liverpool as he continues to recover from flu, as reported by The Mirror.
The German playmaker was sent home from training on Wednesday but Wenger was hoping that Ozil would be fit to play the crucial clash at Anfield, which apparently pits fourth in the Premier League against fifth.
However, Ozil is still likely to be available for Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg tie against Bayern Munich, in which Arsenal have a gigantic task to overturn a 5-1 deficit.
The German sensation has surprisingly struggled for form over the past few weeks but has enjoyed many game-changing performances against Liverpool since arriving in the Premier League, indeed he has lost on only one of the six occasions he has played against the Reds.

Arsenal Star Could Turn Down Barcelona For Manchester City
The Arsenal star’s performances in both Premier League and Champions Legue, particularly away from home, have left the supporters frustrated but Wenger believes one of the main reasons behind Ozil’s lack of form is the absence of Santi Cazorla who is sidelined with injury.
In Ozil’s absence Alex Iwobi or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be utilised to take his usual number 10 role.
There is also a possibility of Wenger taking a late decision on the play maker’s availability for the Liverpool game as he reportedly travelled with his teammates on Friday.
Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is facing fitness concerns of his own, with Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson already ruled out. But Central defender Dejan Lovren is ready to make his return to the squad after five weeks out with a knee injury.
