Premier League Giants Asked To Cough Up £70m For Marco Reus
Premier League giants Chelsea have been asked to cough up £70 million for the services of Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.
Reus has been linked with a big-money move to England for quite some time now, with Arsenal and Liverpool also rumoured to be interested in signing the German international. However, Chelsea are now believed to be the frontrunners in this race, as the Blues seem to have already made contract with Dortmund over a potential transfer.
Dortmund are apparently ready to part ways with their versatile attacker, who can play as a striker, a central attacking midfielder, as well as on both the wings. With the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Andre Schurrle, Emre Mor, and Christian Pulisic available at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal, the Dortmund boss has agreed to let go of Reus.
According to The Express, Chelsea will have to pay £70m to lure the 27-year-old to London – a price tag the English giants will have no trouble meeting given their enormous financial resources.

But despite Reus’ enormous talent, Antonio Conte will have to be wary of the player’s injury prone nature if he is to seriously considering bringing the Dortmund star to Stamford Bridge.
In fact, Marco was recently ruled out of the Bundesliga club’s upcoming Champions League Round of 16 second leg clash against Benfica as well, after having suffered a thigh injury.
Tuchel revealed on Saturday: “It’s out of the question for him to play. Marco has a muscle injury in his thigh. He has been very stable for weeks. It’s a huge loss that he isn’t playing on Wednesday.”
