Alexis Sanchez Breaks Silence After Arsenal Bust-Up Reports
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has finally spoken about the reports that claimed that he was involved in a training ground bust-up against his teammates.
Arsenal had one hell of a time at Anfield past weekend as they failed to beat a Liverpool side which was coming on the back of a 3-1 defeat at hands of Leicester City. Roberto Firmino opened the scoring in as early as 9th minuted before Sadio Mane doubled the advantage. Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck pulled one back just before the hour mark, but Gini Wijnaldum made sure that the Merseysiders have a comfortable game.
Arsenal did lose the game, but the talking point in the fixture was Alexis Sanchez’s absence as Wenger decided to keep him on the bench in this crunch tie. Following that, the Guardian reported that the Chilean lashed onto his team-mates last week in the training and that was the reason behind him being dropped.

However, manager Arsene Wenger has denied all those reports and said:
“I’m not aware, nothing happened,” Wenger was quoted by BBC.
“I explained after the game I decided to go for a more direct option – that was the unique reason for my decision,” said Wenger.
“He is a committed player and sometimes with excessive behaviours but you have had that many times in the history of every squad.”
This surely isn’t the only concern for the Gunners as there are reports claiming that the Chilean – who has 17 Premier League goals so far – is bound to leave the Emirates at the end of the season, but the former Barcelona man responded to the rumours by posting a perfect answer on his Instagram account.
Arsenal are crashing down the Premier League log and their chances of finishing in the top four is also under heavy scrutiny. Besides that, their exit from the Champions Leagus is also imminent as they allowed Bayern Munich to score 5 goals in the first leg.
Furthermore, Arsenal skipper Per Mertasacker was speaking to Sky Sports on Monday and the German admitted that Sanchez’s situation is proving to be a distraction for the club.
“He (Wenger) has got a lot of options now. He has got 25 options now so it’s very difficult for him to decide who is playing.
“I approach every training [session as though] everyone wants to push to get that starting spot, to be in the line-up.
“It’s about chances and taking chances. It’s not about individual players. It’s not going to be about one single player.
“All these questions about one player are very distractive (sic) to our team. It’s about tomorrow. We’ve got a game to face tomorrow which is really important to our team.”
