Pogba Had A Secret Meeting With Real Madrid
Spanish radio station Cope came up with a sensational story on air on Tuesday reverting back to last summer, and how Manchester United outmuscled Real Madrid to capture the world record signing of Paul Pogba.
But how close did Madrid come to hijack the Pogba deal instead?
Pogba, 24, was heavily linked with the La Liga giants since his compatriot Zidane replaced Rafa Benitez at the Real Madrid dugout in January 2016.

Zidane has always admired the French midfielder, and was reported to be interested in bringing the former Juventus midfielder to insert some power to his talented midfield formed by the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Isco.
Everybody knows Pogba’s agent is Mino Raiola, and he also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
According to Cope journalist Paco Gonzalez, who is one of the most reliable sources in Spain regarding Real Madrid issues, Pogba went to a meeting last summer with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane, and the interesting part is the France international made sure not to bring Raiola with him.
In that meeting, Real, as the latest story claims, offered Pogba a salary of six million euros a season.
In the end, Pogba is earning double that amount at Old Trafford. The former Juventus man has been, to some extent, hit and miss since his summer arrival. He has scored seven goals and chipped in with four assists across all competitions for the Red Devils.
