Juventus To Meet Matuidi’s Agent For Potential Transfer Talks
According to reports in the Italian Publication Calciomercato, Juventus are going to meet Blaise Matuidi’s agent Mino Raiola, after their €15m bid was rejected by Paris Saint-Germain.
Matuidi, who has made nearly 300 appearances for PSG since joining the French club in 2011, has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus recently. The Old Lady have already submitted an offer in the region of €15m, but PSG have turned down, as they have no intention of selling the Frenchman at a low price, and want at least €26m.
Due to PSG’s reluctance of holding on to one of their star players, Juventus have decided to meet Matuidi’s agent Mino Raiola in order to talk about the deal.
This is not the first time that the Bianconeri are chasing the star midfielder. In fact, they have made constant efforts to lure Matuidi away from the French capital, but the move was called off, as PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi chose to retain the player.

However, this time, it might be difficult for the French giants to do the same, as Matuidi, who enters the final year of his contract, has reportedly said that he is expecting a new challenge.
Plus, Matuidi’s father, Faria, has already revealed that his son was more interested in staying at PSG previously, but is no longer happy with the current situation, particularly after the arrival of new sporting director Antero Henrique.
“A few weeks ago, Blaise was more interested in staying at PSG. Now the situation is much more mixed,” Faria told Le Parisien last month.
“PSG, and in particular their new sporting director, have been slow to reveal their intentions. For that reason we’re listening attentively to the advances of other clubs. There’s a feeling, rightly or wrongly, that everything said [by PSG] in the past few months is now part of ancient history.”
Matuidi could be a great addition for Juventus if they pull off the deal, but it’s not going to be easy for the Serie A giants, as Premier League clubs are also interested in the former Saint-Etienne player.
