Manchester United In Pole Position To Land Chelsea Target

With the summer transfer window just a couple of months away, European giants have started off with their business campaigns to land top talents and build a squad that’ll pose a challenge for both domestic and continental titles.
Certain stories that came up during the previous summer seem to have just hit the resume button, as multiple clubs have carried on the pursuit to land their long-term targets.
And one such transfer plot appears to have thickened even more this time around, as Manchester United continue their chase to sign Juventus’ Alex Sandro, according to reports in Italy.
The Red Devils have been trying to acquire the Brazilian’s signature for some time now, as their boss, Jose Mourinho, has been a well-known admirer of the highly-rated defender.

The Special One has reportedly ‘admired’ Sandro since he used to play for Porto, and before he eventually moved to Juve in 2015.
The Portuguese tactician made the 27-year-old one of his top targets last year, with Chelsea also interested in the Brazil international, but failed to land him, as the Old Lady rejected every single bid for the full-back.
However, as per the report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juve ‘could be forced to soon sell the player’ which they bought for €26 million in 2015.
The report included a nub from another report by an Italian bank, Banca Imi, which came out this week and claimed that ‘the only way Juve can keep being one of the top clubs in Europe is if they keep selling star players on a regular basis’.
This basically means that Sandro could be on his way to Old Trafford very soon. Furthermore, the Red Devils are expected to throw in Italy international and Juventus’ target, Matteo Darmian, in a swap potential deal to land the Brazilian.
