Milinkovic-Savic’s Father Names The Club He Wants The Lazio Star To Join
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s father believes Juventus would be the best destination for his son.
The Serbian international is one of the most wanted players this summer. A host of European clubs have already made contact with Lazio over a move for the midfielder, including Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
Sergej has put in great performances for the Serie A club over the past seasons. The 23-year-old made the move from Gent in 2015, and in the three seasons since, he has made 122 appearances and scored 25 goals in all competitions.
In a recent interview with TuttoSport, Sergej’s dad Nikola named the ideal destination for his son. The former Yugoslavia player considers Juventus is a team that will allow his son to improve until maturity in the coming seasons.

He stated: “Juve would be the perfect team, perfect for him. In Turin, in a large, prestigious and glorious team like the Bianconeri that has dominated the scene for years, he would have the opportunity to grow and improve again until it reaches full maturity.”

Jose Mourinho is keen on adding a couple of midfielders to his squad this summer, as Michael Carrick has already retired, and Marouane Fellaini is yet to commit his future with the Red Devils.
Manchester United agreed on a fee for Shakhtar’s Fred. The deal is set to be completed in the coming weeks after work permit issues were sorted yesterday. Now, the hunt for the second midfielder is on.

However, Mourinho apparently has his eyes already set on Milinkovic-Savic, who was impressive in Serbia’s 1-0 victory against Costa Rica on Sunday.
Lazio have reportedly set a €150m price tag on the starlet. While United have offered to pay €100m over the past weeks, the Italian side isn’t ready to negotiate on the asking price. It will be interesting to see where the player ends up before the start of next season.
