Romelu Lukaku has asked Jose Mourinho to sign Jordan Lukaku from Lazio this summer.

Manchester United are in the process of plugging the holes in their squad in this transfer window. The Red Devils have signed Diogo Dalot, Fred, and Lee Grant in the past few weeks. But Mourinho isn’t done yet, as he looks to improve his left-back options next.

Ashley Young made the most number of appearances as a left-back for United last season, with Luke Shaw struggling to win Mourinho’s confidence for the second consecutive season.

The Portuguese gaffer isn’t happy with using a winger in a defensive position, however, and is looking to bring in a proper left-back to fill the role.

Alex Sandro is said to be Mourinho’s first choice. Reports suggest that the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with the Brazilian, but are facing difficulties to negotiate a transfer fee with Juventus.

Amid these discussion, The Express have revealed that Romelu Lukaku has seemingly asked Mourinho to consider making a move for his brother, Jordan, who plays at left-back for Lazio.

Lukaku Jr joined the Serie A outfit for €4 million from Oostende in July 2016. In his two seasons, he made 61 appearances for Lazio. He was also on the initial probables for Belgium’s World Cup squad, but was later dropped from the final squad.

Jordan is likely to leave Lazio this summer. The 23-year-old seems to have fallen out with Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi after being left out of the pre-season squad. Premier League side West Ham are also interested in the player this summer.

A number of players have asked to sign their brothers for the club they play for. Most recently, Gianluigi Donnarumma urged Milan to sign his brother, Antonio, before agreeing to a new contract.
