United Believe They Can Complete Bruno Fernandes Transfer Before Deadline Day
It has been a while since the talks linking Bruno Fernandes and United went up in the air. With the winter window approaching its culmination this Friday, the supporters are highly concerned if they would be able to witness a move this month.
Accordingly as per recent reports, it’s claimed that the Mancunians are fairly confident they can secure the Sporting star’s signature this week.
The deal looked as though it was virtually completed, until it collapsed when the Portuguese side refused to lower their fee demands of initially set £68m. The Red Devils were expecting to swoop the midfielder for at least as low as £50m.
Nevertheless, the urgency in acquiring some money for the Portuguese club has revived the talks between the clubs over the talented midfielder and as per the Sun, United reportedly are willing to proceed with a fee of £42.5m up front for the 19-cap Portugal star, with £8.5m in potentital add-ons.
Regardless it’s understood that anything around £60 million would see the transfer happening.

Although the English club is highly interested in securing the 25-year-old’s signature, Old Trafford co-chairman Joel Glazer, the figure who signs off all the club’s transfers, believes Fernandes is not worth as much as £68m.
Accordingly the club was trying to lower the fee demands of Sporting, being well aware of how desperate they were for money at the moment.
Meanwhile, the star is reportedly set to be left out of the squad for his current club’s fixture against Maritimo as the deal is potentially closer to completion.
With just 5 days left, the Red Devils would essentially have to act fast, as they have been wishing to bolster their midfield believing the centre of the field had a crucial role in their poor run this season.
