Harry Maguire Showed Why He Cost £80m With Dominant Display Against Chelsea

Providing a spell of relief to the supporters, Manchester United have secured a 2-0 victory against Chelsea last night; a clash which showcased certain events which divided Twitter into two.

The scoreline is undoubtedly appealing to the Mancunian supporters, particularly the clean sheet they’ve maintained against a team currently residing in the top four. Plus Bruno Fernandes rose up to his standards as well, anchoring the midfield and threatening the opposition with his capabilities in set pieces.

The first goal was registered at the half mark, with the second coming off at the 66th minute, netted by Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire respectively. In a game which featured only headed goals, although the one by Chelsea was disallowed, Maguire’s headed attempt on goal has gained wide attention amongst the club supporters.

Accordingly, his goal at Stamford Bridge which further increased the Red Devils’ lead is assigned to a substantial value by the Old Trafford faithful. The talented defender also operated well in the defence line being a solid part of this clean sheet they’ve acquired.

Including the Chelsea clash, the United No.5 has now recorded 7 clean sheets in last 10 appearances for the Mancunian side, a remarkable feat which is certainly pleasing to the manager Solskjaer.

The England international along with Eric Bailly was quite a force to be reckoned with at the back, with their partnership gaining more popularity amongst the fans.
